What's going on? It's summer and I'm so bored. I have graduated and am currently waiting for my first year as a language student to start (but it starts so late and my friends ain't home).
Though only a year language study, next year I thought I'd try to get into the ComicSchool in Malmö (just ranting 'bout plans too waste space).

Anyways, found some distraction. I unexpectedly got work at Närcon, my... 3rd con ever I think. So maybe see you there? Sadly I barely know anyone there, so if you see an awkward red/yellow-haired person checking your band, make a face or something and I'll wonder what the heck's going on cx

Hello! Still busy with the last school stuff for my last year in school *yey*. But I'm kind of frequently posting doodles at [link] (changed blog from snaperiebaperie to a new account because of reasons. I know I fail at life).

Anyways, the reason why I'm writing is because of tomorrows event. SPX or Seriefestivalen (comic thing in Stockholm (Sweden). Tomorrow, there is a 4-hour comic thing, and me and some friends thought we would participate for funnzies : D
I hadn't heard of it until today, just thought I should make some last minute advertising cx I might see you there? (even though I'm shy as fudge haha. Yeah, srsly awkward when meeting ppl I find azm).

Oh right, alsooo I'll be at SPX next week, looking at all azm ppls comics. And since I placed second in a comic competition I will be there signing the anthology. Not that pleased with the comic, a little rushed and I totally messed up the format so the print might leave the trim areas or smthing blah. But it's the first time I'm making a serious "longer" (20 pages) comic so it's a start. I learned a bunch cx
I actually made that comic kind of like my project work (projektarbete) for school and myself printed a bunch fanzines or whatever you call them. It's a small comicbook (about 60 pages) with an English version of that comic (in the right format with nicely trimmed corners x)+ another comic (and a little extra). So, I am mostly derping around on my doodle-tumblr snaperiebaperie these days. I am experimenting with the digital medium and thought it could be fun to make a request or two (if anyone is interested ofc).
But I will only make a few and will probably choose the one I feel like doing the most. 'Cause you know, I'm re-discovering how much fun it is to draw without actually "having to do it" or something. ^^

Finally I'm done with the comic partly made for the "project work" in school. In the end I had so little time that I've barely been sleeping at all for weeks (stupid deadline).
But that's over now! And I also received some good news yesterday yey.
Oh I can start drawing random things for fun again <3 But first I'll sleep for weeks! And rest my right hand, since I've been painting nonstop with it for half a year, and pretty intense in the end, it's kinda beaten up and should probably rest a month : /
But man, the rest of this term is going to fly by so conviniently now ^^

A small update to get rid of the old journal.
So what's going on?:
Working on a comic for school (I have got about 3 weeks to finish it, I'm so utterly screwed. And so is my right hand).

I have found a watercolor technique that I like and find very relaxing actually (when I'm not working on the comics I tend to make some pictures, I guess that will be what I'm posting here until I'm finish with the project).

Thought to self: Would be really fun to start a comic that I update on weekly basis without a friggin' school deadline… I might do that, when I have a story I like, and time.

Other notes. I'll start study some French (thank you Oxford self-learning courses <3), I just suddenly got interested in the language (I love languages generally, I am currently also studying some Japanese).

And I have fallen in love with the Supernatural series (the seasons 1-5, before it started derail). It's azm! Cas <3

Hello! I'm not dead, I promise (more like kind of busy actually), so I thought I would update this about what's going on.
Sorry about the inactivity here, you see, I've been working on a bunch of comics since the summer break (and i work slow, being all perfectionist n stuffz). For a contest and for my project work school thingie. All together 80 pages before new year (feels a little bit like suicide ; )
But  I will try to submit some stuff here as often as  can <3

And recommendation of the month is ofc ADVENTUR TIME <3 A cartoon show that really shouldn't be for children (but is). It's like watching smthing made by azm internet ppl like the ones at DA (though the show is harder to come by now, stupid copyright).

Busy with life, wish I had more time to comment n read journals n DRAW! But I love you guys, and don't dare think any different.
Sooo I'm going to uppcon this year (for the first time)!! : D Yeah, I'm late with everything, hope you still haven't grown tired of the convent. Going there with and hopefully the sweet and lovely and kickass Totte.

We decided that we only would go there if we took the camper (house car thingy). So I'm currently at the end of the process of taking a drivers licence (had the theory test today, I passed . Though I get so friggin' nervous and I really fear for the driving test (though I know I'm a good…okay driver…)

Hm… What more? I'm currently trying to scan my sketchpads (cause I sketch a lot in school). Taking forever though, my goal is to put together sheets about my different stories, but first I want to put together an OC sheet (OCs from 2 years back or smthing, to embarrassed to show my oldest. God they suck). But I srsly have a lot of OCs because I'm one of those who always have a lill "movie" in my head when I'm going to bed or waiting. They suck though because they're just made to amuse me ; P Don't expects anything soon, it won't be finished in a long time. Jupp, that's how I work. Slooow.

And since I'm ranting I can always say that I'll ditch summer job this year (oh this will be a beautiful summer <3) and start working on a serious comic for "final project in school". I would like to make a comic somewhat professional and maybe use as portfolio shit or smthing when I finish school. But I have no story yet; don't want to make cliché shit.

Hello, I haven't been active here for a while now, some stuff has happened. Some weeks ago my dog Salli [link] died in my lap after being sick for one month (a genetic liver disease). She had been by my side for nine years, and my whole family kind of fell apart for a while there. It may sound silly but if you got a dog you probably know what I'm talking about. A dog is never just a dog. I have never loved anyone as much as I loved her (and I realise how strange that sounds, but that bound is something special). We must be crazy, 'cause a week later we got a puppy. We are all dog people and it just felt so right. Not as a substitute, 'cause no one can ever replace her. But we needed someone to love and take care of I guess. It all feels so distant now, like it was months ago. The weeks pass so slowly but every day feels like a week somehow. It's weird.

I have never been so sad or emotionally hurt in my life, but I believe that is something beautiful, right? To miss someone out of love. I still think of her every day, and even though there might be a tear in my eye, it is also with a smile on my lips. Because that's how I remember her. It was impossible to look at her or talk about her without anybody smiling or laughing when she was alive. And that is how she is worth to be remembered C:

Yoshi [link] our new family member, and I have never met a dog with this much energy (Salli would have hated him hehe). He is hyperactive and has to chew on everything cx I'm especially tasty apparently. But he is also very devoted and really speaks with his eyes <3 It's really hard work but it's like with kids I suppose. When he's sleeping I can't help but to sigh and love him with all my heart.

Oh, and I was on Spx10! Man we got some good comic artists in Sweden. Unfortunately I get all schizo in those kinds of situations. So yes, I was the shy red/blonde girl hiding behind my friends, peeking on you… I'm so pathetic, haha. But it was really inspiring! I want to make a comic tooo and sit there next year ('ll see about that though).

Yeah, so that may explain my inactivity here (and some sickness, and because of stuff I didn't do my homework and got lots of blahblah and so on).
But now I'll try to look at all the beautiful art all you marvellous ppl have posted here and hopefully start creating something myself. I say as U2, "It's a beautiful day" and the rest of the quote you know

I got Image ready CS to animate in (making them into gif files). Do you know any program that I can add voices in (or animate and add sound)? That’s not flash (too expensive). Preferably a programme for free. I have been watching way to much silly animations and dubbed stuff lately *floating on pink clouds*

I’ve started to study Japanese (well, not in class but still pretty seriously). I have always loved languages and I srsly think I’ve found a new passion in life. I have been studying for some weeks now and am nearly as good as I am in Spanish (which I studied in 3 years). And it struck me that more or less anything is possible, if you’re just passionated enough. Learning the language however make’s me really happy.

(Obs, here starts a quite depressed comment. You don’t have to read it if you dislike stuff like that ^^)

But lately I have been switching from depressed to quite happy really quickly. I mean, without a reason. Is it common for esthetic ppl? It’s really annoying to get “emo” so quickly, thinking way to much about stuff and the frustration of not being able to draw. I have had the urge to have deep conversations with my friends but I don’t want to bother anyone with it (stuff like that pass on, and srsly there’s ppl who have it worse than me.) and I honestly get even more depressed t talking about it. And for some reason I start to really dislike the person I’m talking with (at that moment). I have also been having a lot of nightmares lately. Sorry for bothering you, but I suppose it has been the reason I’m pretty inactive right now. I might sound pretty down in this but I love my life and feel at the moment pretty good. I’m just frustrated and had to write it down somewhere.

Therefore it’s so nice to study Japanese, since it puts me in my own bubble and every new word I learn makes me happy. I had like to just take it easy and study some for days but there’s school tomorrow. And I got some shukudai (ahaha, lame humour) (homework). But it’s holydays soon C:  Yey! But I hope it stops snowing before then, I have had enough of winter now.

I’m btw working on the chibi requests (started inking today, woho Me be fast) ;9 I noticed how much I love using nibs. I kinda forget after not using them for some weeks.

What's up guys! Just wanted to tell you that I'm alive hehe. I have just been more or less sick for 2 moths now (and I'm sick of it;9). And I have been artblocked too, but I guess that's a side effect. I have been a bit anxiety 'cause there are so many journals and pictures I've wanted to read and comment on but not had the energy to. Sorry.
Anyway, I'm finally healthy, yey! And I have started reading comics which always gets me inspired ^_^ (but I get a little wired too, can not always tell apart reality and fiction and stuff). But I got a lot of homework to do before Xmas so I guess I won't be posting much in a while.

I am currently trying to learn to draw guys (that is over 14 *cough*). It's so hard! O_O I can't believe that was all I drew some years ago. I enjoy drawing the curves of girls, but common, there is like no good girl characters at all in comics. They are often just girly, helpless and annoying. And guys are hot ofc <3

I'll rather only draw one character each. I don't want to draw animals or aliens. Ears and stuff is ok as long as they at least resemble a  human. I don't know how serious the pic will be and I'll use the media I feel like at the time.  

I don't know how many I'll manage to make. I'm working this summer, and do this for fun so (depending on if anyone want a pic) I probably won't be able to draw to everyone.

... You know when you look at your gallery and just want to delete everything? I really got that feeling right now.  But I'll resist.

Since I want to become a mangaka someday (yeah riiiiight), I have decided to start drawing short comics from now on.
Partly for comic creating practice and partly to evolve my style. I think that's the best way to get a paitingstyle I really can stand for and like.
(But you have to expect pretty bad stories, 'cause they are created only for practice.  Will probably contain some violence and blood).

It'll be in black and white (which I know isn't as appreciate as coloured pictures) but I do it for my own sake (even though I always worry about what other people think).

Oh why do I always have to sound so negative?
